Location
Hua Hin lies 200 kilometres south of Bangkok on the west coast of the Gulf of Thailand. It is easily reached by a direct road, rail and air. The Banyan Resort is located just 5 kilometres south of Hua Hin town centre and a few minutes by car to the beautiful white sandy beaches of Khao Takaib.
Hua Hin is the oldest and most traditional Thai beach resort holiday destination in Thailand. Home to the King of Thailand's summer palace, the beachfront resort town of Hua Hin is held in high regard by Thais. In recent years, the charming town has become recognized as a premier holiday destination and is now attracting visitors from around the world, many deciding to purchase a second home or settle here permanently.
In 1926, during the reign of King Rama VII, Klai Kangwon Palace was built. Meaning 'far from worries', Klai Kangwon is still the official royal residence and in recent years the King has spent much of his time at the palace. His presence ensures that there is a strong military and police presence in Hua Hin, resulting in controlled development and a low crime rate.

Hua Hin is a Paradise for Golfers, with 8 golf courses located within 20 minutes of the city centre. The spectacular 18-hole championship Banyan Golf Course will be connected to The Banyan Resort by a private road, allowing residents easy access to the spectacular 18-hole golf course.

Activities
Hua Hin is trimmed by a seven kilometre long stretch of beach and a clean shallow sea. The beach is used a variety of activities including horse riding, kite boarding, traditional Thai massage, and alfresco dining on fresh seafood. Further south of the town, there are several beautiful sheltered coves and quiet beaches. Kaeng Krachan National Park, and Sam Roi Yot National Park, also known as the 'mountain of 300 peaks' are also nearby.
